As the year of 2005 draws to a close, I figured it prudent to take a look at the year past and reflect on what has gone down here on this blog. After all, we only learn from what we can take from the past.
Technically-wise, this year saw the blog finally move to it’s own webhost and a new blogging system. Now after a year, I have finally nailed down a theme layout that I liked and Wordpress has been nothing but fantastic to use. No regards in either aspects, and while the theme may soon change due to the lastest release, Wordpress looks to be the major backline for the blog in many years to come.
Content-wise, well the Edge still needs work there. Posting from me has not been partically constant, regardless of all the determination to write more. Maybe I should stop worrying about that and just write what and when I like.
The year ‘05 was filled with change, but more so in terms of relationship/friendships and the status quo. Basically, I believe I have finally come to terms with my “wilderness” and are finally moving on to greener pastures.
Likewise, in my career, well it finally started! and together with that has brought along new confidence as well as a thicker skin. If anything else I bring out of my workplace, these two alone would be enough (apart from the cash of course).
And so while this year’s forecast was determined to be bleak. I honestly have to say that next year should be much much better.
Then again, one should never bait the Universe like that.
Happy New Year everyone.
