In case anyone had noticed, the domain problems continue. Haven’t been able to connect normally since the last post. It’s frustrating really, as it is a key point of websites to be up as often as possible. It’s one of those things that keep visitors, sorta like having regular content updates. It’s kinda sad that I am now lacking in both these areas.
In any case, I have been in contact with my webhost, Focushub on how to fix the problems. So far everything seems to be in order, except that trying to access the site normally through the local ISP seem to re-direct back to the ole error page. So we are hoping that the problem lies in the proxy cache that the local ISPs use. Technical stuff really, I’m sure it’s all “blah blah blah” to most of anyone. I’m getting this post up by bypassing the local proxies via a feature I added to Firefox. It’s slow and I wouldn’t recommend it, but it seems to be the only way for myself to reach the blog now.
I just realised that I had forgotten to put a link to my webhost on the blog. I remember having one on the old template, must have slipped my mind when I changed the template some time back. I should do, they have been pretty good in keeping up with the crap I throw their way; prompt email replies, cheap yet feature filled service. It’s a good thing to support the local boys as well.
So they come recommended to anyone looking to set up their own blog or website, with room to expand. Let me know if you need any help.
