Second Glances part 2

It looks like I have fallen deeper into the trap that is Second Life again. Since I have been dropping in there over the last few days (whenever I’m not working on my project of course), I’ve met up with old friends, seen wonderfully built new environments and made new friends. One in particular, looks to be a major…err…”draw factor” for me to keep returning back there. Heh. That’s good actually, I think that was one thing that I was missing the last time. Inspiration. Since there are so many things that one can do or get involved with in-world, it can be hard to focus on something and get down to getting it done. At least that was the problem that I was having.

Added to that that most of what you create in second life can be considered art, I figured that having a muse would be a good thing. I mean, I did most of my best witting and ideas when Ebb Tide and I where still together. Heck! I even wrote her poetry once and never have since.
That means that I can actually do some cool stuff, given the proper motivation. It all comes down to a matter of how to handle my time as usual. A good thing about learning how to do stuff in second life is that I’ll get knowledge in 3D modelling techniques, finally learn how to use Photoshop, try a hand at animation with Poser and practise my coding by digging into the scripting programming language of Second Life. Useful skills for any IT professional to have. Since it looks like I’ll have quite some time this year. I might just invest it into a second life again.
