Miles away, here again

Since this my second-last school term ended on Tuesday with the submission of my last project, I have been trying to spend as much time this week with those people on holidays whom I haven’t been able to meet up for a while. The members from this group consist of those overseas school goers to local schoolteachers, and, well, my Dad

So far, I have managed to spend some time with Dex, catching up over meals, which is our usual bonding ritual since our poly days. It’s a heck a lot easier now finding all those eating-places with one of us now being able to drive. But then that’s one of the only few advantages that I can see come out of driving in this country. He seems a little displaced on being back home. Like there is something at the back of his mind bothering him.

Met up with my Dad the other day as well. Did our usual romp around town and caught up over drinks and coffee. One thing I always admired about my Dad, was that he has a certain eye for quality, you know stuff like watches, wallets and other accessories, which I wish I shared. He was a little dismayed to discover that I hardly wear a watch nowadays. Actually, I find that apart from myself, he is actually quite happy with his state in life. Happier than I have seen him in a long time, considering the circumstances of his current visit. As for me, well I’m pretty sure he’ll be much more happier with me, if I was driving, had lost weight and have started working already, as well, I can’t say I disagree with him there.
