Friendly Common Feeding

Heh. Never thought I’ll say this, but friendster scored big points with me over the weekend by adding a new feature which allows a RSS feed from a blog to be displayed in the friendster profile page. Basically that means that the 5 latest posts from this blog would be displayed there and when anyone clicks on them, they will be re-directed here. Very good move, pity it took them so long to do it. It may be a little too late…

Anyway, to get the RSS feed from Blogger done correctly (since they only support Atom feeds for non-”pro” accounts), I found this neat website called Feedburner, that would be able to convert any XML feed into whatever format the calling program requires, be it Atom, RSS1.0 or RSS2.0. It even works for normal browsers, converting the XML to something much more readable.
So if you would like to have a simple page to show when I update this place, or if you use a RSS newsreader to show when your news or favorite websites get updated, feel free to make use of the button on the sidebar.

Another addition to the blog is the copyright license that I got from Creative Commons, in the rare case that I actually write or post something good here that someone else would want to use. Whatever. Better safe than sorry I guess. Oh, the license also applies to whatever in found in the Writings section of the blog.

So do take the time to check out the news feed and copyright stuff and let me know what you think. Enjoy.
