Anniversary

I just realized that the beginning of this month was the two year anniversary of this blog.

It had completely slipped my mind, which I feel is not really a good thing. It just goes to shows how much attention I give to this at times. Which is kinda sad, because now I can’t see myself not having a place to write and post up stuff. I just need to use it more often.

I actually had a list of ideas and plans to add to and upgrade the blog with (the foremost being moving to an actual webserver), but this and that came up and…you know how it goes. That being said, I will be adding some things to here as time goes by over the next few weeks.

Looking through the archives, several things strike me:
1) Looks like I need to go in and redo all the old posts again. The new blogger format must have messed it up. This must be the only time that I’m glad that I only average one post a week.
2) What was I thinking with trying to do the whole blog in a “theme” back in the early days?! As though we don’t already get enough l33tsp34k from the Net. I think I was going for something different to set myself aside from all the other blogs, but I think it backfired and thus is one of the reasons for the lack of readers today. I think the reader count stands at 3-4 if you add myself.

To sidetrack a bit, I watched the pilot episode of the new spin-off CSI:New York (I love broadband) and was hardly surprised that there was much focus on ground zero and 9/11, it being New York and all. I have to admit that at one point I was like “It’s been so long, you need to get over it and move on”. Then I remembered who I was and got a good laugh out of it.

This blog was started one year after that incident. It was an eventful time and I eventually turned to the written word a year later as a means to reflect and recover. And thus I guess it’s fitting that each anniversary, I spend some time to celebrate, not the incidents themselves, but instead the tool that has helped heal.
